Cutter Suction Dredger

The cutter suction dredger is a widely used type of vessel in dredging projects. It employs a rotating cutter head mounted around the front of the suction pipe to cut and agitate the sediment at the riverbed. The stirred-up sediment is then transported through the suction pipe, aided by powerful pump forces, to a designated disposal site. Its processes of dredging, transporting, and unloading sediment can be completed continuously in one operation. This makes it an efficient and cost-effective dredging vessel, representing a reliable underwater excavation machine.

Cutter head.
The cutter head is made of high manganese chromium alloy, with a novelstructure, high toughness and hardness, which helps to increase theconcentration of dredging. The cutter has three different speeds, and thespeed of the cutter can be adjusted through the operation panel located in thecontrol room to meet the needs of excavating different soil types

Main Diesel Engine.
