Start From Your Project Problem,
Not From a Machine Name

Dredging and waterwork projects are usually described in the field — silt depth, sand volume, weed coverage, site access — not in vessel terminology. From our plant in Qingzhou, a Chinese dredging equipment manufacturing base, Shandong WanRun Intelligent Equipment offers 104 products across 10+ series and has customized equipment for more than 100 clients. This page maps what you see on site to the equipment families typically considered, before our engineers review your specific conditions.

Equipment suggestions on this page are preliminary. Final suitability is always confirmed by our engineering team against your project data.

What Is Your Site Facing?

Choose the problem closest to your project. Each entry lists the conditions that matter most.

Conditions That Decide the Equipment

Before comparing models, gather these six inputs. They change the answer more than brand or budget does.

Site survey
  • 1

    Material Type

Soft silt, cohesive clay, loose sand, compacted gravel or rock. Hardness and composition drive the cutter, pump or bucket choice.

  • 2

    Working Depth

Minimum and maximum water depth, and how it changes with tide or season. Our range spans shallow amphibious work to 30 m custom deep dredging — confirm against the spec sheet.

  • 3

    Site Space

Channel width, turning area, bridge heights and shore slope. Compact sites may rule out larger hulls or long pipeline layouts.

  • 4

    Where the Material Goes

Onshore discharge through pumping and pipeline, hopper barging or beneficial reuse. Distance and elevation determine pumping and pipeline needs.

  • 5

    Access & Transport

Road, container or coastal towage to reach the site. This affects hull form, disassembly design and delivery method.

  • 6

    Operating Constraints

Environmental permits, working windows, power supply on site and crew availability. Some conditions require engineering review before any model is proposed.

From Problem to Candidate Equipment

The mapping below is a starting point for discussion, not a commitment.

Project Problem Conditions That Matter Most Commonly Considered Types Status
River / lake desilting Soft silt depth, discharge distance, shore access Cutter suction dredger · Amphibious crawler excavator · Water King workboat

To be confirmed
Sand & aggregate winning Deposit thickness, material size, washing needs Jet suction / water-jet sand dredger · Bucket chain dredger · Bucket wheel dredger
Suggestion pending engineering review
To be confirmed
Aquatic weed control Shallow soft water, plant species, coverage area Amphibious waterway cleaning vessel
Water hyacinth, weed and reed cutting; collection options vary
To be confirmed
Port basin maintenance Tide window, berth traffic, soil compaction, disposal plan Trailing suction hopper dredger
Electric remote-control type, 10 m dredging depth — selected after site survey
Site survey required
Listing a port or waterway application does not mean every model can operate in open sea or exposed coastal conditions. Each model's operating envelope is defined in its own specification, and site-specific suitability is confirmed by our engineers. Cutter suction dredgers are built to Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) class.
